Aurora Labs

Joining Aurora as a designer in marketing department was my intro to very fast and volatile blockchain world. Born as an internal product within NEAR Inc., Aurora spun off into a separate company in July 2021. I joined in November same year.

While the company had a basic visual identity in place (logo, colours, font), it lacked systematic approach and consistency across platforms.
It was my mission to put it all together, see how the brand could develop, how it was represented and promoted at various events.

I was responsible for everything you can call visual communication and a tad more.
Example 1: booth design 5 minutes before deadline because event management contractor thought a tech company booth looking like an ice-cream shop in a mall food court was going to work. At the same time I was also producing promo campaign for said event
We’ve been told it was the best designed space lots of times, for a few years after the conference.
Example 2: prototyping a mini-identity + a financial tool overnight because our product designer was sick and the presentation had to happen the next day no matter what.
Example 3: launching an app in AppStore and Google Play, art-direct it’s promo video, edit the script.
Example 4: designing and then promoting the launch of Developer platform, restyling internal and external documentation.

There was also a secret personal mission to make logo I didn’t really like work and look cool on different mediums.
